Let's celebrate, we have today!
Do you also listen or watch videos which help you to work, motivates you to learn, to move forward in life? Yes? I do. I do take a few minutes of my morning and night to give myself either motivation to do something or peace of not doing it today. But we all do have Procrastination as our very good friend, right. I keep on listening to such speakers that I feel like the most energetic person over there, wanting to achieve everything in just one day. That might be our problem. I want instant achievements or success, instead of having the idea of climbing the ladder of success, I keep on imagining that lift. Growth does not happen in a blink. It never ends, all our life, we will be growing and learning each day. So, here we are missing the actual picture which needs our attention, which is “Today”.
I know we all have read, listened to it a million times, “to be present in the present moment”, “make every moment count”, “seize the day”. I personally have a note in my room which says, “Seize the Day!”, but do we really seize it? We all have heard all this, but when are we going to apply? Or do we just keep on thinking either of the past or the future, but not the present, which is actually in our hands?
Every day I wake up with this thought that no matter what, Today, I will do everything with my heart, will be conscious, aware and present in every moment, and I mean every moment, our focus is just not needed in our studies or work, but in everything we do. In this era of multi-tasking, it is kind of difficult, but still we can if we want to. I love to go for walks, watch sunsets but I rarely do nowadays, telling myself that I am busy with my work, but you know what, at the end of the day, even my work is not finished nor I met nature, and again before sleep, I open few tabs, to console myself that it’s okay, maybe tomorrow I’ll do everything needed. I know, this change won’t happen overnight, remember Growth does not happen in a blink, but it won’t happen even if we don’t start it ever.
So, let’s take one step each day, let’s try to be fully present in the moment, let’s start small, let’s start with half an hour or even less, let’s just be there, where we are…
Let’s Celebrate Today!
